Last year, in March 2012 I got an email from Norway:
“My name is Owen and i’m writing to you from snowy Norway to ask if i might be able to use one of your photos for the front cover of my novel :)… Over many, many weeks i have looked at hundreds of photos for a possible cover for my novel, but i always return to your images because there is something about them that i think fits with my novel very well. I love the colours and tones of your photos, and the warmth you seem to be able to put in every shot.
My novel is about love and nature and animals and people. About what makes us HAPPY, and more than anything, the novel is about the SMALL, SIMPLE pleasures in life, the things that dogs and animals are so good at reminding us about. As i say, there’s something about your photos and what you capture in them that i’ve also tried to find in the tone of my book, and so it would be absolutely fantastic to be able to use one of your images as the cover, because i think they would fit together very well.
The things i love about your photography: the colours. the fact that each and every photo looks like it’s loved and cared for and special to you (they’re like your children, right?!). and that you photograph the important things in life. people. animals. people with their animals. and nature…”
And now this week I got and email that the novel has been published! Yaaaaay! It looks great! :)

I have been really busy lately, trying to do all my work with ALL my heart…and trying not to be just a photographer – but more that that! And seeing the simple pleasures in life which are the greatest! Thank you Owen! Thank you everyone! You are just lifting me higher!
